All concerts in November are cancelled

Following the government's recent announcement of further lockdown regulations we unfortunately have no choice but to cancel all of our scheduled concerts for the remainder of this month. This decision is taken with immense sadness. But we would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has supported our series over these past weeks and months. We've been greatly encouraged by that support and will strive to get concerts up and running at St Mary's as soon as we're able. Both concerts due to take place tomorrow (Saturday October 31st) are now CANCELLED

It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of the two Opera Gala concerts scheduled for 3pm & 6pm tomorrow. Two of our artists are displaying mild symptoms of cold, and since the health and safety of our audience is the primary concern, we have decided not to go ahead. However, we hope very much to be able to reinstate the Gala, as well as the previously cancelled performances of Dido and Aeneas at a future date.  All pre-paid donations will automatically be refunded within the next few days. An important announcement regarding Dido and Aeneas on Saturday October 31st

Unfortunately we have had to take the decision to postpone our planned performances of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas on Saturday October 31st. The current rules on quarantining after travelling abroad has meant that several key artists would be unable to take part. However, the 3pm and 6pm concerts on the 31st will now be replaced with an opera gala, featuring several of the finest UK-based singers. Sopranos Mary Bevan and Sophie Bevan, mezzo-soprano Catherine Wyn-Rogers, tenor Nicky Spence and bass Neal Davies will join pianist Ryan Wigglesworth for a programme of arias and duets in what promises to be a very memorable event. Concerts Going Ahead!

We’re delighted to be able to tell you that our September Concerts at Pyrton will not be affected by the government’s announcement yesterday. All audience members will continue to socially distance and contact details will be taken for those in attendance to enable tracking and tracing if and when necessary. Apart from those with exemptions, masks should be worn by audience members inside the church. Spare masks are available on the door.
